The vernier scale calliper features long nib-style jaws made of hardened stainless steel to take precise inner and outer dimensions in recesses and other hard measurements to reach. The nib jaws have rounded measuring surfaces for more accurate measurements on non-flat surfaces found in pieces such as bearings. The vernier calliper's 14° face angle makes reading the scale easier and helps prevent parallax error in measurement reading. The scales are raised to slide easily and protect the graduation markings. The vernier calliper with thumb clamp is made of hardened stainless steel that is corrosion resistant and a satin chrome finish reduces glare.
